Tong Cheng Iron Works Co. Ltd. was legally established in Taichung, located in the central part of Taiwan. In the same year, “SWAN” was adopted as its brand name for our air compressor products. |

Tong Cheng was issued an export factory license by the Ministry of Economic Affairs in Taiwan. |

Acquired the sole agency rights in Taiwan for SMC (Japan) products and emerged as a leading supplier of pneumatic equipment in Taiwan. |

Approved by the Ministry of National Defense for its manufacturing capability. |

Cooperated with the reputable COMPAIR (UK) to market oil-free reciprocating air compressors. |

The company served as the sole agent of KOBELCO (Japan) screw compressors. In addition, SWAN was in the developing stage of a line of screw type compressors. |

A computerized system was set-up to improve performance in our daily work routine. |

Through perpetual effort in the testing and research by our technology department, the newly improved “S” series air compressors were successfully launched. |

The company invested in overseas by setting up a sales office in Thailand. In the same year, an office in Indonesia was also set up to market “SWAN” air compressors. |

The overseas investment team was formed to develop a strategy to aggressively evaluate and plan for further overseas investments, especially in Asia. |

An automatic-painting production line was installed. Employment of this highly automated and advanced equipment contributed to improving the quality and overall look of our products. |

The air-cooled and oil-less “SD” series of air compressors were successfully launched. |

Thai government BOI (Board of Investment) permitted our manufacturing facility to be built in Thailand. The1st-stage building project of the factory was smoothly accomplished. |

This was a busy and fruitful year for the company. Tong Cheng Iron Works Co., Ltd. was accredited by German TÜV Rheinland Anlagentechnik GmbH as a certified ISO-9001 company.
The reciprocating “S-N” series was successfully launched. In the meantime the 2nd-stage building project of the Thai factory was underway. |

The Thai factory reached production capability of more than 10,000 units of compressor products. |

Mr. Chiang Nai Yu succeeded to the General Manager of Tong Cheng Iron Works Co., Ltd., and began to lead the company’s operation. |

Acquisition of the ISO 9001:2008 certification with validity until June 30th , 2012. |

Held the Asian and Pacific Seminar in Taiwan. |

Rotary Screw Type TS series air compressors were developed and launched.
Participated in the Hannover Messe 2011 Trade Show in Germany(Hall 26-Booth A13). |
